About

Most of the time I like to write code – pretty much any kind of code: desktop applications, iPhone, database, websites.  I mostly do it because I enjoy learning and trying new things.  My whims change quite often though, so sometimes I finish stuff, more often I drop it after awhile and move on to something else.  This, of course, doesn’t apply to my real job, where I finish all the projects I start.

I’ve worked at my current employer for 4 years as a DBA, and I was a DBA for another 4 years in my prior job.  While I enjoy creating database apps, my real love is writing “normal” code, and I’ve been doing that for others, or just myself, for 29 years now.

My goal with this blog is to share things I learn, show ways to improve crappy code I find, spread some geekiness around as much as possible, and whatever else comes to mind.
